Grayson's Grandparents gift

My friend asked me to make her 2 mini books for the grandparents
of her son Grayson for Xmas gifts

I'm sure you will agree he's a very cute little boy.

Page 1&2
I made the book 6x6"

The papers used are from the new American crafts range
 "Ready set go"
they worked well with a mini book as had a small pattern on most of the papers.

The papers went well with the photos as they are bright and vibrant and looked quite playful.
These could be used for both a boy or girl.

I printed out and used little quotes that I found.

I embellished with tags, buttons and ribbon page turners.
Tip- attach your ribbon with Staples for a strong and decorative fix.

Proud mum and dad xx

Special gift

We went to Lowyn's school Xmas fair and all the children had made tree decorations.
Lowyn had made a beautiful robin.
(think she might take after mummy) x
He has pride of place on the front of our tree....

I was asked to make a special gift for a friends secret Santa.
She wanted a horse broach.
I agreed and then thought how the heck am I going to do a horse.
I decided to do the head and I'm pleased with the result :)
Hope she likes it x

Elf on the shelf

I'm so excited to introduce our elf Alvin as named by Lowyn.x
This is the first year he has come to visit us.

I was so happy when he arrived even more so than the kids.
He has been up to all sorts of fun.

Alvin made a snow angel......

Alvin is a little bit mischievous
he ate the chocolates out of the girls calendars.
He did say sorry and replaced them with a twix each :)

Alvin likes to play tricks,
He changed the ------ sleeps till Christmas sign.

Alvin got lonely whilst the girls were at school so he brought along his friend Evan.

All that Elf magic tired him out so had a little sleep in the warm bathroom.......
 sleep tight Alvin.x

Naughty Alvin must of rested too much
and got up to naughty tricks taping Lowyn in her bedroom.

He even turned our milk blue that cheeky Elf.
But we still love him xx

I love getting and using kits as most of the hard work is done..... Everything matches and all looks great together. I've made the following 6 layouts from the August papermaze kit......:)

 Love is like a butterfly............
This photo was taken during a day trip to Jimmy's farm.

The tag slides out to reveal more journaling.

"Carefree"...... Aug crop kit

WOW thanks Lou (Designer for papermaze and one of my followers x)
for such a lovely crop kit.....I was so excited when I see the kit.
Lou is very talented and has her own blog take a look at her beautiful work

"Carefree"

I love this photo of my daughter I took it on a recent holiday.
I love how her hair was blowing in the breeze.

TIP- When editing photos crop in close!

This kit had so much paper left over :)
I was able to make another lay out by adding a sheet of pink card stock and 3 doilies.

"Princess Pirates"

These photos of my girls were taken at Lowyn's 4th Birthday party "Princess and Pirates".
My thinking was the girls would be princesses and the boys pirates but Lowyn wanted to be both xx

jubilee mini book and lay out, inc free Jubilee printables

We had such a great time during the queens jubilee in June.
We met up with friends for a street party....
We played good old fashioned games such as egg and spoon race, three legged race, and the sack race.
We all had so much fun and got quite competitive!

I decided to make a mini book for our friends to thank them for such a great day :) XX

I cut two sheets of white card stock into 6x6" squares for the base of my book.

I went through my stash and collected anything red, white and blue.
The bird is from a free printable by www.weebirdy.com
They are cupcake toppers and cake banners which were perfect for this project.

I used collage photos 6x4" from snap fish and had them printed with blue and red boarders.

I made bunting from paper scraps cut into triangles.
TIP- add some faux stitching with a black pen for some detail.
I also drew on the string.

I made paper flags from triangles of paper and glued onto cocktail sticks.

I love pin wheels and decided to add one as we had been taught to make them at the June Papermaze crop. We used pentagons and cut towards the centre, folded in the points and finished with a button :)

I left a blank page for my friends to add their own journaling.
My friend Chelle pictured above made this fantastic cake for everyone.....
when cut the cake it's self was red, white and blue so cool!!!

My friend loved it x

Below is the Papermaze June crop kit...
I made my page into a double layout so I could incorporate more photos.

Here is the 2nd half of my layout that I made...

I tried to keep the pages similar by using a pin wheel and bunting on the  2nd page.

Here it is altogether :)
